Why I’m here: I’m here because I have a passion for fitness. Sports and exercise have always been a huge part of my life, so once I found Crossfit in 2013 I became hooked. I moved to Atlanta in 2017 and Crossfit Perimeter was the first and only box I needed to step into. It thrives with the quintessential Crossfit attributes, the community is second to none, the coaches and members provide great accountability, and there is a wide range of competition depending on your fitness level!

What you can expect from me: You can expect me to motivate you and push you to do things you wouldn’t think you can do. If you come to my class with a willingness to get better I will help you get there. I love seeing members and clients achieve their fitness goals, so expect me to guide you in the right direction when it comes to learning something new! (Especially when it comes to olympic weight lifting)

Background: I’m originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I grew up playing sports, my dad had me swinging a baseball bat even before I could even walk. I played basketball, football, and baseball through middle school. But I’ve dabbled in pretty much every sport you can think of  Unfortunately, I endured multiple injuries as a young athlete.  My sophomore year of high school I suffered a major back injury while back squatting due to poor coaching, so it took me out of contact sports. Fortunately, I found a love for Volleyball. I ended up attending Arizona State University where I played for the Men’s club team and studied exercise science. This is also where I met my beautiful wife Krissy. We are proud parents of a baby girl named Callie who was born December 4th 2020.

My first coaching experience was in 8th grade for a school project.  A classmate and I partnered up to coach 4th grade basketball for a season and it was a ton of fun! After college, I began coaching girl’s high school and club volleyball in Arizona. Coaching volleyball was great, and I learned a lot but my true passion was in Personal Training. I began Personal Training in 2010 at Lifetime Fitness but once I dove into the Crossfit world I found my calling. I’ve been coaching CrossFit since 2014.

Favorite Crossfit movement: Olympic Lifts, both the Clean & Jerk and the Snatch.

Favorite WOD: I don’t have one. I love them all but if I had to pick then it would be some sort of long workout with lifting, jumping, running/rowing, and gymnastics involved.
